Air Pollution : An Alarm We Can No Longer Ignore

The urban allure has a darker side — the pervasive and dangerous specter of air pollution.

City skylines, often synonymous with progress and prosperity, are increasingly becoming hazed by a silent enemy — air pollution. As the world hurtles towards urbanization at an unprecedented pace, the very air we breathe in our most iconic cities is being compromised. This is not a localized problem, and it’s high time we sound the alarm.

A quick glance at www.AirNow.gov and you will start to see an alarming trend, toxic air quality in every city in the world is growing.

1. An Invisible Killer:
While air pollution might not always be visible to the naked eye, its effects are tangibly devastating. It’s estimated that globally, air pollution is responsible for up to 7 million premature deaths annually, according to the World Health Organization. Chronic exposure can lead to heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and both chronic and acute respiratory diseases.
